Quick Peek at Stitches East!

No time for a full update, but here are a couple of sneaky pics that were taken early on (apologies in advance: someone should tell the Atlantic City Convention Center folks that flourescent lighting is really the least flattering of all, but... well, what can you do?):

It's been a busy weekend at Stitches East at the Woolplay booth (below)...

where there was not only one, but TWO walls of hand-painted cashmere (cubes of Estelle, Italian sportweight cashmere shown here):

(it was too crowded to get a clear shot of the other wall, filled with Pippin, the aran weight cashmere, but you get the idea).

I was only on site briefly today, but it was such a pleasure to meet up again with the talented Louisa Harding who was nearby promoting her gorgeous new range of yarns and patterns (if you haven't seen them already, keep an eye out, as they're truly scrummy!). To make the day even more special, I had the good fortune to meet The Yarn Harlot, Stephanie Pearl-McPhee who is one of the most amiable knitters I've ever met (and that's saying something!).

And last, but certainly not least, a cheery greeting to everyone who stopped by to say hello, shoot the breeze, and snap up Klee scarf kits...

... and fistfuls of cashmere for various projects, including sweaters like...

Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the weekend (especially the wonderful Bess who still had the energy to make a beeline straight for us after such a long drive)! And if you find yourself at Stitches, happy knitting with all that fiber booty! Don't knit it all at once!
